About Loads of Change
Loads of Change is a hands-on community service program powered by the Poulsbo Lions Club, offering free laundry services to neighbors who need a little extra support. Once a month, Lions volunteers gather at a local laundromat to provide detergent, dryer sheets, and payment for washers and dryers — creating a clean, fresh start for individuals and families facing financial hardship.
Inspired by longtime Lion Terry Blais, the program now helps 27–35 people each month, washing over 100 loads of laundry in a single afternoon. Beyond clean clothes, Loads of Change offers dignity, connection, and a reminder that our community cares.
